Vintage Wicker Angler’s Fishing seat Rod Holder Tacklebox Creel. This is quite the unique item a little out of the ordinary and perfect piece for the collector. I have personally never seen one before. From my research its possibly from the late 1950 s early 60s. I was told these were popular in Europe. I believe they came with a shoulder strap also. This one includes the key to the lock. It does not include the rod sorry and has one small break in the wicker which im sure can be repaired professionally see last picture. THIS LISTING IS FOR A PAIR OF VINTAGE WILCOX CRITTENDEN GLEAMING POLISHED BRASS FISHING POLE HOLDERS, THEY ARE OLD ONES AND HAVE THE WC LOGO PROUDLY DISPLAYED ON THE FRONT AT THE REINFORCED TOP LIP WHERE THE TUBE IS THICKER AND RECEIVES THE MOST STRAIN WHEN A BIG FISH IS ON. THE TUBES MEASURE APROX 9″ LONG, BY 2″ DIAMETER, THE BRACKETS ARE APROX 3 1/2 WIDE. THESE HAVE A GREAT LOOK TO THEM AND WOULD ALSO WORK IN A HOME SETTING AS WELL AS ONBOARD A VINTAGE OLD FISHING BOAT. I COULD SEE THEM REPURPOSED INTO WALL SCONCES WITH VASES INSIDE? Vintage 9′ Bamboo Fly Rod Unmarked- 3 Piece With Extra Tip Wooden Rod Holder

No marking to indicate the maker on the rod or carrier. This one of the nicest condition fly rod I have seen in a long time – finish on the bamboo is great – it is octagonal shape- all the eyes are there and firm or tight to the rod – it has one extra tip section- it does have sign of use on the handle and the eyes – overall great shape – wooden holder never seen one like this one – (IT COULD BE HOME MADE) but a great idea if it is – eyes set down it the slots nicely – it is a nice way to carry the rod in the back country or just storage – only thing I would do is put screws on the end caps to hold better. LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PICTURES FOR CONDITION AND ANY DEFECTS. This is a local estate sale find and I have not attempted to clean, buff or oil it in any way. Scuffs and scratches present.
